Steven George is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Florida, with an affiliate appointment in the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation.  Dr. George’s primary teaching responsibilities include Evidence Based Practice I - III.   Dr. George’s primary research interests involve the utilization of biopsychosocial models for the prevention and treatment of chronic musculoskeletal pain.  Dr. George’s research projects have been supported by awards from the University of Florida, the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Defense, and the Foundation for Physical Therapy. He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and is an international editorial review board member for the Journal of Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy.  Dr. George has been recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association and the American Pain Society with early career research awards.
