Dr. Koch is a graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and Law Studies (1999) followed by a Masters degree in Physical Therapy (2001). He is Credentialed in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy through the McKenzie Institute International (2006), is board certified in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (2008) and completed a transitional DPT (2009) and a Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship (2011) at Regis University in Denver, CO.  He currently practices for Park Nicollet Health Services in Wayzata, MN, where he is a strong advocate for the implementation of the principles of evidence based medicine into physical therapist practice.  His professional interests include patient education and communication, thrust manipulation and neurodynamics.  He serves as Adjunct Faculty and guest lecturer at the University of Minnesota’s Program in Physical Therapy on the topic of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (McKenzie Method) as it relates to subgrouping in Low Back Pain.   He is a member of the APTA, MNAPTA and AAOMPT and has presented at both AAOMPT and MNAPTA conferences and teaches continuing education courses in the Minneapolis, MN area on the topic of evidence based care and thrust manipulation in Physical Therapist practice. 


Bill was born and raised in the Northern suburbs of Chicago and moved to the of Minneapolis, MN region after completing his Physical Therapy education.  Outside of professional endeavors, he enjoys home remodeling/construction and recreational sports.  He is married with two daughters and as a family they enjoy camping, biking and other outdoor activities.
