James A. Patrizi, PT, CWS, FACCWS Jim graduated from George Williams College in Downers Grove, IL in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, followed by a Bachelor of Science Certificate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in 1984. Jim has over 30 years of clinical experience in Physical Therapy, specializing in Wound Management in acute care, outpatient clinics, and long-term care in Illinois and California. Jim is a Certified Wound Specialist recognized by the American Board of Wound Management, and a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists. Jim has served on the clinical faculty of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Samuel Merritt University since 2001, and joined the University of Pacific Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2014, teaching the Wound Care curriculum at both institutions, as well as guest lectures at area Nursing and Physical Therapy Assistant programs. Additionally, Jim has served on the Speaker Bureaus for Organogenesis, as well as Smith and Nephew. Currently, Jim practices wound management at the Veterans Administration Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation, as well as the Vascular Wound Clinic in Martinez, CA. Also, Jim supervises the clinical instruction of residents for Physician Assistant, Nursing, and Doctor of Physical Therapy programs at the VA. To provide balance, Jim cherishes his life with his wife and two daughters, as well as enjoying the harvest of their fruit orchard and vegetable garden year ‘round.
